Five Haiku on Marriage and Love
By Scott L Vannatter – June 18,2012
Words said, heart broken
Mad gives way, timid love tries
Candles, kiss, forgive
Man speak; Woman speak
Two languages, neither heard
Love interprets all
What’s this? Venus, Mars?
Do you not know each other?
Meet on Earth and see.
One year all entwined,
Five years speak not much between,
Golden see each reborn
Spring marriage, new, fresh
Summer leads to fall and cold
Spring is vow renewed

I really liked these. Especially the Mars/Venus/Earth one. I tell my sons not to worry about “what women think”, just about what people think. Women are people, and men are people. They have much in common, but each is also an individual.

For the most part, I agree. I have found; however, that there seem to be some tendencies that each gender flows toward, though, you are right, individuals are different.
