What Comes After 100!?!?!?

I need your help today!

I am serious. There has been a lot happen lately and I am going to turn to the smartest group of people I know for aid with it all. Okay, most of it is good news, but I still want help.

Here’s the thing. This past week and today is pretty special. This past week I received notice that I have Passed 50 followers and 500 likes on my blog! Wow! Great! Wonderful! (Fireworks are below).

That is awesome and I can honestly say that, without you, I couldn’t have done it. Ah, that is why I am going to you with my next problem.

You see, this is also a special post because it is number 100!!! That’s right. You people out there have decided that it was okay (even enjoyable) to have me post 100 times.

So, to celebrate this post, I would like to post a question and get your feedback. Are you ready!

What makes a good post?

A second question to that would be:

Could you give me an idea of what you would like to see (specifically) in an upcoming post?

I am open to nearly anything. I want to hear it. I want the down and dirty. I have done so many different posts about so many different things and you have all responded, but I can’t figure out the stats.

Now, don’t get worried. I would never settled back into just one thing to do in my posts. I am a Renaissance Man and enjoy the variety from Haiku to Sharks to Movies to creating new blog awards. It’s all fun and it’s wonderful to get your responses.

So, turn on the creative juices and let me know what you would like me to do.

Please Help!

Congrats, Scott! 100 posts–that’s huge! I have to echo the other advice and say: blog about what interests you, what you’re reading about, what you notice in your every day life. I love the peek into other lives that blogs grant us. Keep it up!

Sorry. Can’t help you. I have a hard enough time coming up with ideas for my blog! But congrats on your milestones. You should be proud.

Thank you. Best advice (or, at least, the most received) has been to do what’s important to me and to show my feelings in my blogs. Perhaps, that will help you, too.

Congratulations on reaching 100! I’ll be there at the end of the month. 🙂

Others have already said it—blog about what really interests you and moves you. The stats come and go. Most people are seeing drop offs here in the summer, for eample. And there are always ups and downs in the views and comments for whatever reason.

Be true to yourself, and readers will recognize that. Every post won’t generate tons of views and comments, but that doesn’t mean they weren’t good.

Looking forward to the next hundred!

Good solid comment! Thank you. It’s what I have been told by others. I really like the way you phrased it!

    Hi,
Wow that is great, and congrats on your 100th post as well, you are well and truly part of the blogosphere now. 😀

The one thing I love about blogs and reading posts is that each and everyone is different, I think that it is always best just to be yourself and blog about what you would like to. Some posts will do well, others will fail, but that is just the nature of blogs, as you would of guessed by your stats going up and down like a yo-yo. 😀

Have noticed the yo-yo part. I have also gotten this advice from a couple of people.
It’s all good. I just thought, perhaps, someone wanted to see something specific and special that I hadn’t tried. I will be myself and keep on doing different things as that’s what I do enjoy most.

I can’t believe you’ve done 100 posts already. Wow! Well 101 comes after 100 🙂 But…..to me what makes the very, very best posts is true guts, spilling out the hardest stuff that is scary to even post. There is something about raw emotion and vulnerability that gets me every time. And so many people can relate…so many afraid to say what’s really going on, but when the truth at the very heart is put out there, others start to shine their light to. Posts that aren’t trying to prove anything to anyone, that have no agenda, motive, or intention, except to connect. 🙂 That’s my 10 cents about it. he he. But just keep doing what you’re doing….talking about what is at the heart of you! Sam

I knew I would get it straight from you.
That’s hard stuff to talk about. And, you should know!
You do it all the time.
I will work hard at that in the future, well, some of it; still gotta have fun!
