Seeing the Complete Picture

I am not going to go on tonight about movies, songs, diseases, or how much change you can find on the floor of a dance hall on Saturday morning.

What I would like to talk to you about today is much simpler and, hopefully, much more interesting. The reading of this blog is about 5-6 minutes, but it will be noticeably longer and (again, hopefully) much more interesting if you will follow the ending instructions.

I work hard on my blog, not just my posts. The posts are a daily thing and, according to my following and my views, I am doing a decent job there. What I am talking about is the left hand column of all my posts. There I have put in hours and hours of work and yet I see no likes or views of those pages, for the most part. There are a few if I mention them, but people do not seem to, normally, gravitate to those sections of the blog.

Well, I would like to change that just a bit, not so much to help me (though it will), but because there are other people who I am also helping with that entire left-hand section. I was going to list all the parts and explain them, but I decided that I will just make a simple plea for a couple of pages and then let you drift where you will.

A) Some interesting places to go

B) Very intriguing posts I have found

Okay, two sections, viewing them will take 10 seconds. Clicking on one of the items is quick, too. Looking at one will take longer, but I think you will be better for it. I have tried to really pinpoint the great things I have found both on WordPress and on the net.

Take a look…my 5-6 minutes is up.

I’m afraid it all comes down to time. If it’s any consolation, very few people have clicked on the pages I’ve posted about my WIPs. I don’t think it means readers are disinterested. But they’re doing the best they can with limited time.

Not really so much worried as just making a comment. I think it is important that we let our readers know what we have available and of what use it is for whom.

Sorry friend, we all notice when something new is there , but when writing comment we forget to mention that. I, take so much time in reading , reading and understanding a post that I forget everything else. You mentioned it correctly , when someone takes so much time in decorating their blog we should mention it.

I am not upset; it just seemed to me that, perhaps, I was being a little unfair to the people I try to honor by posting a site or blog that has something I feel is wonderful and worth reading. Thank you.

Dear Scott, I got your point. But you pointed out the very correct thing. Have a good day.

Sorry mate … we all have intentions of delving back into blogs we like – I’d like others to do that with my blog, so of course I understand others would like me to do it at their place too! But sometimes – nae, almost all the time – we run short of time and feel pressured to keep on moving … gotta keep up with the current offerings of the blogs we follow … and our good intentions fly out the door till next time πŸ™‚

Oh, I understand that! It happens to me, too. What I wanted to get at is there is a lot of good linking information I have gathered there and it might be well worth the time to look (couple minutes) to see if there is somewhere new and exciting you could head to. It’s not really about views and likes. We all want that. I just know that I am helping some people out.

I usually stop by on my phone app. So I don’t see these, but next time I stop by on my computer I will take more time. Have a good night Scott.

Feel free to say something; I look forward to it!
