All We Need

This turned out to be rather simplistic for a poem. I would apologize for the almost child-like verse, but I was feeling very melancholy and this is what came out. -Scott

All We Need
by Scott L Vannatter
11/2/12

I walk down the path
The pebbles hurt my feet
But they don’t incite my wrath
Like a lot of people that I meet

My heart is often weary
Of the lives of those I see
Who are so dark and dreary
And who may look down on me

I pray for those with troubles
And whose life is in need of light
They cringe inside their bubbles
Full of fear and full of fright

The answer is here and above
They need to just reach out
Let others know they need love
They can whisper or can shout

We all aren’t so varied
We’re mostly all the same
We need sometimes to be carried
And hear someone call our name

And so I’d like to hold you
Like shoes tied up with lace
Perhaps all we need are we two
To kiss and to embrace

this was so lovely…yes, everyone has the need to be liked and cared for ( at least a little) not child-like writing. just very easy to understand and nice..

I think it is, too. So far I have written a poem/Haiku and two dating profiles for pay.
          It’s fun!

Well, you could offer personal advice on abuse.

I don’t know; they paid for a poem/Haiku about a Minotaur in a cornfield. lol
It’s not much money; they take out a dollar and Paypal takes out just a little. I did it more for the exposure of name and to get to write just a little.
It doesn’t cost anything. You just have to be careful that you ONLY do the ones that come through the pay field and not just an email asking; otherwise, you don’t get paid.

hmmm, now you have my gears grinding…would i just talk about abuse through the email? or would they email me a qestion? don’t know how that would work…but yes only the ones that come through the pay field. 🙂
          how did you sleep?

          Slept decent, but still tired.
As for the other, it would depend on how you phrased it.
Ex – “For five dollars, I will answer or give advice on up to two questions concerning abuse.”
Ex – “For five dollars, I will write a paragraph discussing a certain type of abuse.”
Ex – “For five dollars, I will give an opinion from your description if you are suffering from abuse.”
You could use all three or combine them or change them all. Just a thought.
          Scott
You would, of course, make it clear that you are NOT a professional expert in this field and the answers are not to be taken as medical advice (CYA statement).

that’s a great idea, and for sure i would let it be known that it is not medical advise! i guess it can’t hurt to try right?

One gig for a poem/Haiku and the most viewed post I have ever had.

Getting there. Sometimes, it’s loneliness and sometimes, it’s simply the weather or tiredness or things just not quite going my way. Nothing serious.
But, I welcome the concern; it feels nice.
