Night Flight
He watched as yellow went to turn red, the ball dropping toward the horizon. He could still feel the fever; the tingle that said too early to get on the plane.
“Montreal?” the tanned blonde looked over her stylish frames appraising him for future needs. He grinned over his Ray Bans.
“No, getting off while still stateside.”
“Too bad,” she pouted a bit.
“The ‘Mile High’ club isn’t out of the question,” he felt the pull.
Her eyes brightened. “Bloody good!” she exclaimed.
You have no idea, he thought to himself. All kinds of hungers could be taken care of.

The good thing with vampires on a plane is that you can get a stake through security. 🙂

lol – never thought of that one.

this line: “The ‘Mile High’ club isn’t out of the question,” he felt the pull. was this said aloud? i’m not positive. i mean, it’s in quotes, but it seems like more of a thought than actually spoken.

No, he said it aloud to pull her in.

The vampires are everywhere. Curse Stephanie Meyer and her famous characters. Why can’t weall see such success with our writing?

Maybe it’s because mine die in the sun, not “glow”.

Whoa — you’ve told a much longer story here without the need for words. And I do see the vampire note, but what I kept thinking and feeling was that this could work extremely well as a story with a terrorist theme. I see all kinds of possibilities in their words and his “fever.” You’ve done a great job of capturing reader attention.

I was thinking that her future needs might not be what he thinks she means. Perhaps she’s a vampire, too, or something worse. Who can tell?

Boy, those vampires sure have it easy! I’ve barely made it into the “Sea Level Club” and I positively absolutely don’t bite. Fun story.
