I am anxious to read the other stories this week as I found this the hardest one to write about so far. I hope I do it justice and that you like the story.

“Any Port”

“They’re coming!” shrieked Sarah.
Tom and Jose scrambled up the ladder to join Sarah and George on the roof of the building.
From down the street came the undead, steadily approaching the four.
“We don’t have food or weapons,” said Tom.
“We didn’t have time. You know that,” countered George.
The mass of death continued its forward motion.
Sarah considered for a moment, knitting her brow. “Can they climb the ladder?”
The other three looked, first at her, then at the first zombie to reach the stair.
Without hesitation, he began upwards.
“That would be a ‘Hell, yes!’” Joe shouted.

Hell yeah?
Hurry, climb up, and kick off the ladder in the classic Hollywood style.

Why are zombies so smart and coordinated? But they are! Great story!

If you want a truly different approach, watch “World War Z”! Now, they are not so smart, but really scary.

I love scarey. I’ll have to go see it! 😀

Yes, do. If you really love scarey – I may have you do some beta reading for me in the future if you would like. Also, I do have a 4-part horror story on my blog back quite a while. If you are interested and can’t find it easily, just drop me a note.

Darn those zombies. Can’t you just take a stick and knock them off when they reach the top of the ladder?
One thing I do want to see more of is Sarah knitting her brow. Does she use crochet needles for that? Maybe she should consider trimming them before they get out of hand.

Ouch! I feel sorry for them.

Appriciate you stopping by. I do try to write my episodes as stand-alones so-to-speak, But you can always go back…via the link. Baskically it’s just Vamp wants Girl, Girl tries to escape.
Zombies are a unique breed. There was a cute Halloween movie where a zombie actually helped the kids defeat the witches. I’m thinking though your zombies are not so nice. Fun read. leaves us all wanting the group on the run to figure out a way to escape ’em.
Thanks for your link.

Dear Scott,
Being up on a roof with zombies climbing my only escape would certainly ruin my day.
