Five Sentence Fiction – FSF – 8/9/13 – “Foresight” PG13

Five Sentence Fiction – Learning

What it’s all about: Five Sentence Fiction is about packing a powerful punch in a tiny fist. Each week I will post a one word inspiration, then anyone wishing to participate will write a five sentence story based on the prompt word.

The word does not have to appear in your five sentences, just use it for direction.

This week:  Learning

Read my story, then click on the pic above to go to the list of the rest!!!

“Foresight”

By Scott L Vannatter

Ondu sat for a moment and thought about all of his learning, and, in that moment, he saw so many things that his mind almost tossed it all from consciousness.

He saw great thriving areas full of human life where people had assigned duties, but often neglected them to have fun and to do things that were selfish in nature.

He saw how people traveled all over the land visiting friends and family who no longer lived in the same area together.

He saw such power in these areas as had not even been thought of by anyone so far and how that tremendous power had left everyone in great fear that the very same power might destroy them all.

Yes, Ondu thought that, but then, he shook his head and went back to making the flint spearhead for his father; a much more important learning.
