FSF – Five Sentence Fiction- Letters – “Puzzle of the Ancients” – Humorous – PG

From wiki

Lillie McFerrin Writes has posted a new item, ‘Five Sentence Fiction – Letters‘.

What it’s all about: Five Sentence Fiction is about packing a powerful punch
in a tiny fist. Each week she will post a one word inspiration, then anyone
wishing to participate will write a five sentence story based on the prompt

The word does not have to appear in your five sentences, just use it for direction.

“I felt rather whimsical this week.”

Puzzle of the Ancients

By Scott L Vannatter

Jonathon shook his head as he read the letters found, each in a separate piece of stone, lying in the cave:  IOKMMSCYEEU.

“Perhaps, it is some kind of ancient letters for a god, like ‘SKY MIE COME U’.” stated Lindsey.

“Maybe, more recent, like a battle, such as ‘COMMIE  SUEKY’,” pondered James.

“Hmm, some kind of code starting with ‘KEY’, thought Morgan just a touch too loudly.

Jonathon reassembled the letters then called for a recent history of the site as ‘MICKEY MOUSE’ definitely did not speak of ancient Rome nor of Russian battles.
