Statue of Limitations

By Scott L Vannatter – 100 words

Alton Daily Herald – July 28, 2013

Ms. Joanna M. Talamon buys her groceries down the street from her apartment building entrance.  She was on her way home last night when she was accosted by, of all things, a mannequin at her doorstep.  Ms. Talamon states that, upon seeing the attacker, she immediately dropped her two bags of groceries to defend herself.

“I wish I had known it was him,” Ms. Talamon stated.  “He hangs around the area a lot and we don’t usually worry much about him.  In this case, he was unarmed.  Honestly, he went to pieces on me.”
