****Important Note!!!! Okay, sales were so-so for the 4 books I am anthologized in.
However, good news is: At present ,they are all free on Kindle (you can also read them on your pc).
So, hop to Amazon…do a search for “Kevin Bufton”. There are 9 or 10 free books (incl the ones I was not put into).
Here are mine:
War is Hell
Under the Knife
Another 100 Horrors
The Dead Sea
Another week another prompt (see below) from Friday Fictioneers hosted by Rochelle Wis0ff-Fields. After reading my prompt below, please click > HERE < to see the rest of the creations. Enjoy!!!
The Tolling of the Bell
By Scott L Vannatter – 100 words
Carolyn was out searching for weapons and food for the fourth time this week. She knew Sheila and the children could handle getting the elementary fixed up security-wise. She just wanted to spend time talking to all of them, her family.
She checked the home for night crawlers, then headed to the kitchen. The shelves held flour, a little out of date, and sugar, along with salt and some spices.
“Well, soup will be tasty, at least.”
The sound of the bell in the distance had her running. It was the alarm for trouble. She only knew of one type.

It’s all on my Blog site under the “Carolyn” page. There’s about 30 small snippets or 10 long connected parts at the bottom. I intend on putting the story to rest either this Tuesday or next.
Thanks.

Until my second idea popped into my head, I had a story like this in mind and I’m glad I didn’t pursue it as yours hits the mark perfectly.

Well, this story is a part of a novelette I am working on. The other parts are on my blog in Carolyn’s page.
Thanks for the compliment.

A little protein is always a good idea, especially when you are running from the enemy.
