Bridge the Gap
By Scott L Vannatter – 100 words
Dave had run for more than 10 minutes. He looked down the bridge at the red tent. He was no closer. He started running again. With each step the tent moved forward then back. He stopped, gasping for air. His first thought was that if this was real science fiction, he could just picture being there and he would be.
He looked. Now, he was inside the red tent! “OMG!” he thought. “It does work. I could visit the Himalayas by just thinking about…” Wearing Bermuda shorts and flip-flops was no way to visit the mountains…and it was slick there.

Very good. I wonder if he’ll be asked to buy a ticket for traveling like that. He’s competition for the airlines if he can take others with him. Well written.

Dear Scott,
Note to self: Must pay attention to the wardrobe before teleporting to the Himalayas. Fun take.

Wow, would it be great to be able to visit places like that! Of course the technology is probably already there, but being hidden by the airline industry! (Conspiracy theory number ???). 🙂

Well, with movies like “The Matrix” and “Push” and TV shows like “The Tomorrow People” I wouldn’t be surprised.
