A Wish Out of Time

Three men were stuck on an island and found a bottle which, when rubbed, produced a genie who gave them each one wish (although they could not wish for more wishes).
They conversed among themselves and realized that if they wished carefully, they could make wishes that benefitted all three of them with each wish.
The first man snapped his fingers and said he had the perfect wish, and after telling the other two who agreed he made his wish: “So that you two may wish for something for all of us, I wish that we had never come to this island.”
All three disappeared, reappeared at home without ever having traveled to the island, having never found the genie, and so, lost the other wishes.
Moral: A wish in time can make you blind.

I loved reading this. It’s a PERFECT EXAMPLE of Haste Makes Waste!
You’ve got three guys here, who as far as I can tell are SINGLE and UNATTACHED. I can understand why they decided to make each wish count for all three of them, and why the guy who the first wish, had wished for them never to have become to the island they were now stuck now. But they RUSHED into making it. What these three CLOWNS should have wished for should have been,
WISH # 1 – For each of them to get what each considered to be the MOST
BEAUTIFUL woman in the world
WISH # 2 – For each to get bags of gold coins equal to the own weight
WISH # 3 – To wish their women and their gold as well as themselves to be back
home.
They could have gotten a beautiful woman and a little wealth, but through their foolishness and their rush – – – all three of them now had a BIG FAT NOTHING !!!
