One Toke Over the Line
By Scott L Vannatter – 100 words
Galen watched as Henrietta moved the insect in circles as she spun her threads of death. He was amazed at how fast she worked and the pitch she was putting into her efforts.
“Getting done?” He called to the Widow in Black.
“Yes, Galen. I should have it all wrapped up in a minute.”
Ignoring the horrible pun, Galen continued. “That’s a bit different than usual.”
“Yeah, I’m rolling a roach.”
“But, that’s not…” Galen trailed off. He did not even know where to start this one. After her last big failure to search the web, he just stayed away.

Dear Scott,
I rolled a roach once…well I didn’t exactly roll it…never mind. Cute story.

Dear Scott,
this is one of the more innovative turns on a phrase this week. Many layers and easy flow. I like it.
