This week’s photo prompt comes to us from Ted Strutz.
He stood on the deck knowing, dreading, and loving all at the same time. He removed his shirt. The biggest problem, he knew, would be the water. He didn’t like the water, especially, now. The all too familiar tingle and fever started. He felt the sweat rise on his brow. Below he heard the dancing and gaiety centering on the bride and groom, his neighbors and friends.
9:41pm he could not longer think. It happened quickly. The growl escaped his throat and he smelled the air, the night, and the blood. He headed downstairs and screaming started.

Not to self: “Never invite a werewolf to a party if it’s fullmoon” … I think you were the only one taking the werewolf theme.

Full moon, tingling in his skin, growl in his throat–but I wish he had just jumped out the window and left the bride and groom alone!

Perhaps, she was an old flame? Jealousy? Hmm?

No. No. No.
Couldn’t he have just sent a present.
LOL.
Good story.

Well, a wedding reception is a good place to go if you’re a hungry wolf – plenty of relaxed, well fed humans to feast on! Nicely done

Very true. Even a werewolf has to watch his figure 🙂

He might not like the feeling of the transformation but he probably very much enjoys himself once in full werewolf form

In this story, to me, it seems he does – apprehensive but enjoying it.

Awesome. Loved the way you built up to the finish. Seems the werewolf had a great feed at the reception. 😉

Methinks he should have chained himself to the railings at the first tingle, but then a werewolf would be fully conversant with the lunar cycle, so I suspect there was a side of him that wanted to be there to savage a few of his more annoying neighbours! It’s not like anybody would recognise him in his werewolf form.

Dear Scott,
You captured the inner turmoil of the werewolf. Nicely done.

Shouldn’t have put himself on the boat with the full moon coming, if he wanted to protect his friends and neighbours. On the other hand, maybe he wanted them to be there…!

I was hoping someone would think of that and wonder…adds to the horror.

Hmm. Werewolf or vampire? Given the growl, I’ll go with werewolf.

Very Correct. Never thought about it as words were few.
Thanks.
