Friday Fictioneers is run by Rochelle. This week’s picture prompt comes to us by way of Sandra Crook. Enjoy other stories Here.
I stood in front of the nearly-ruined building. The streetlight standing in front looked just like one from the video game “Fallout 4”. I marveled at the way the structure managed to remain standing, again like “Fallout 4”. As I continued my search, my gaze settled on the Smart Car sitting in front of the building. I had always wanted one of those. Suddenly, it started its own engine, then simply pulled forward a few yards and took off…from the ground and into the air! Was there someone inside? Was the door gone? My! Now, I want one of THOSE!

Nice one. I too don’t want to spoil friendly sky so I don’t want it, anyway I am too scared to drive with bikes and auto-rickshaw overpowering the roads, the sky seems a better option though.

Who wouldn’t want one of those? Nicely told tale 🙂

The darkness turned light. I loved it! 🙂 (And I want one of those cars to fight Dallas traffic!)

The problem I see is that the “friendly skies’ become just as bad if everyone can do that.

Dear Scott,
Now that was one SMART car! I need one of those. Good one.

Good Movie! or, I was told, the Jetsons…

I’m nervous of flying, so will stick with my ancient G-reg Citreon Saxo, or wait for teleportation to be invented!

I could fly before I could teleport – taking all my molecules apart, sending them over the waves and putting them back together – by a machine invented by the lower bidder?! no way.

You’re the first person to come up with a reason that might persuade me to buy a Smart car!

I imagined his inside the game somehow. I understand they have a working prototype of a hover car now. I reminded of the Jetsons.

Yep, the Jetsons. Perhaps, he is inside. Interesting thought. Thanks for sharing.

If everyone flies, I want one on the ground…less traffic.

It might be advisable to walk on, I think. There’s magic (or SF) afoot.

Haha! I’m starting to think he really was in Fallout 4, or was it “Fallout 9: Alien Tech”? loved the flying Smart Car. That’s coming in a few years I imagine.

Self-driving seems to have moved to the forefront.

Weren’t we supposed to have flying cars by now? 😀

Yep, getting there. no driver cars first.

Flying??? I guess that’s why they call it a smart car.
You have us straddling the line between the present and the future.
Nicely done.

Don’t talk about straddling…not too good with horses.
