Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets* – My first 6 of 5 stars

Show Rated PG13 about 2 hours.

Okay, okay, you know I have penchant for the underdog.  You know I even, um, exaggerate a bit (at times). (notice: NO spoilers below)

Well, sometimes, that exaggeration is well worth the time and the trouble to see.  This movie was absolutely fabulous.

It reminded me of Star Wars, The Temple of Doom, Guardians of the Galaxy, and The Fifth Element all rolled up into one great show!

I mean, really, a lot of action, thrills, danger, mystery, espionage, and deceit all mashed together with a touch of romance and decent comedy.

Clive Owen, Cara Delevingne, Rihanna, Ethan Hawke, Rutger Hauer, John Goodman, and those are just the ones I recognized, all star in this symphony of

enjoyment.  Music from David Bowie, Bob Marley, and others add in to make a great soundtrack.

I loved all the movies I mentioned above, absolutely loved them, however, I truly think this one took me over the top.

You may or may not share my enthusiasm with this film, but you must watch ALL of it and then let me know in the comments.

I guarantee one thing: you like high adventure, sci-fi, and romance – you won’t be disappointed!!!

Right now, it is playing for free on Amazon Prime (or you can rent or buy it there).  May be showing other places-
