“Good Will Bride”

Sam, 73, was not certain what had brought him to Donovan’s 2nd Hand-me-downs. He stopped, hand on the door, and looked. Everything jumped out at him, but it was the bridal gown in the front window that stopped him in his tracks. Yes, that’s what he had seen from the street. He had not been certain then, but now it was the thing. His mind had put together what his senses had not: the sleeves, the cut, and the veil, all of it. He rushed in.
“Help you?”
“The bridal gown. I want it. It belonged to my late wife.”
