A Conversation of It All

Instead of me going on on stuff and, especially, when I am tired, how about I treat you to an interview with Chris Rock?  The interview has to be read, but you all are good at that.  If you aren’t then here is the place to get good at it.

I watch “upworthy” on my net feed a lot and it has some really great things.  I will not say that I agree with everything Chris has to say about all the subjects covered, however, I was not offended and I was not bored.  That’s two pretty good things to have together.  It will take from 15-30 minutes for you to read it all.  I don’t think that’s a lot of time for good stuff.  He covers Ferguson, his dream job, his new movie, comedians, and a lot of other things while he’s at it.  Language is pretty good, but for subjects and such, I don’t think it appropriate for children and I don’t think they would be interested.  Have at it my friends.  Feel free to share.

Conflict

“A Conflict in Nature”

By Scott L Vannatter – 8/29/2014

It had been innocent enough when he had gotten the idea and tried it out without thinking it all through.

Granger was moving very quickly for an almost forty-year-old who had not run more than a block in nearly fifteen years; he hardly noticed the shortness of breath and the leg pains.

You would think that two creatures so absorbed in their own doings would not pay any attention to a man wearing camouflage and taking no-flash pictures from nearly fifty feet away.

He could hardly be blamed for the monkey shrieking in the tree above where he happened to be hiding behind in order to get the best shot angle.

The lion and the gorilla had been getting ready to fight to the death, but when lunch calls…

Shakespeare and a Bridge

Scott L Vannatter – 100 words

(I beg forgiveness in advance)

Tommy was on the set.  He heard the noise, turned, saw the spot break off and crash through the window.

“Clark!  What light broke that old window pane?” Carol hollered over everyone.

“It’s the One and Maintenance has done its best.”

“This prose, no matter what you call it, will smell, that you can tweet!” screamed James from the back.

“Well, tomorrow and tomorrow and the day after are going to keep going slow until time stops talking.”

“And all our yesterdays used that big spot to light fools the way to crusty Seth.”

“Lunch!” and all were played out.

I read lots of books, from mythology retellings to literary fiction and I love to reread books from childhood, this is a place to voice my thoughts for fun. I also like to ramble about things such as art or nature every now and again.
