3 Quote 3 Day Challenge – Day 3

Nomination Accepted!!!

I had decided not to do much about being nominated anymore.  I have been nominated for a whole lot of awards and was cluttering the blog page up with them.  Short of putting in an awards page (thought that sounded a bit high and mighty), I was just going to stop.  However, when Tonysonblogger nominated me for the 3 Quote 3 Day Challenge, I read the rules and was fine with it.  I don’t post anything permanently on my blog page.  The rules:

1) Post who nominated you

2) Post a different quote each day for 3 days (at least, that’s how I understand it)

3) Nominate 3 other bloggers.

Nominations:

1)  Truth and Cake (also the one I took my first quote below from)

2)  A Ghost Dancer (Wow!  Read her story!)

3)  Only Bad Chi  (A wonderfully fun and great person)

Here is quote 3, a Haiku I wrote on Reflection:

Holding mirror thus

I see myself as I am

Reality shines

Thanks for visiting.  I had fun.  Hope you did, too.

Namaste,

Scott

My Try at Tanka

A Tanka is a special type of formatted poem.  It is similar to a Haiku, but longer and the lines can be just a bit different.  Lady Day does this type of poem.  She showed this link as to what it is all about:

If I understand it correctly, it is not so much about a season as it is about the way you experience something and the way you feel about it.  I tried my hand at three of them below.  I would truly like to know what you think.

_

Seeing my small son

Hearing his cry in my heart

Wonder about life

Life would change day after day

Can I handle this all time?

_

Feeling my first kiss

Tasting sweetness in my heart

Should be forever

Sweetness often leads to love

Want to always feel this way

_

Sleeping through the night

Feeling good in the morning

I miss this past thing

Waking fresh is ecstasy

The day goes fine and forward

_

Namaste,

Scott

5 Winter Haiku

Winter Haiku Views
By Scott L Vannatter
November 24, 2012

1)
Frosty temps outside
Cups of chocolate inside
Nose and lips feel good

2)
Snowman and fort built
Balls of ice pelt the places
Only mounds remain

3)
Back roads when icy
Carry sleds down very fast
Children roll off them

4)
Christmas kisses soft
Are nice when done inside house
Outside they freeze lips

5)
Christmas morning comes
Opening presents goes fast
Then the love begins
