“Get Your Kicks…”

Herbert was losing hope. He knew he had never had any “kicks,” so someone had taken them.
Now he had found where to look. Problem was he had been driving on this highway for several weeks without finding anything. The police were even beginning to know his car. Two had stopped him and when he had told them what he was looking for, they had said if he found them in their jurisdiction, they would put him away.
Now, he was suspicious that the police were involved in the theft of his “kicks.”
He was running out of gas money.
