Winnie! Enjoy Your Day You Old Bear You!

I read that today is Winnie-the-Pooh Day.  If it isn’t, too bad, it is here.  I have been a big fan since I was little.  Winnie was on the TV and I loved those cartoons. I would watch them every time they came on.  I loved him getting stuck in the bee hive, in rabbit’s house (same episode), playing in the rain, and all the others.  Didn’t like the movie or the newer stuff near as much, but I am older and it was different artists and different voices.

Winnie filled my life.  I had (may still have) a book called “The Tao of Pooh”.  I do have many Winnie stuffies of different sizes.  In fact, when my daughter and son-in-law got their dog, Winnie, I gave her a Winnie stuffie and she slept with it!  I did the same for the next dog, Rue (after Roo in Winnie). and the dog loves the stuffie, too.

That old bear was kinda a friend to me back then, along with a lot of other fantasy people and characters.  I enjoyed that part of my life.  It was my getaway and hideout when the world got to me (which was very often then).  Now, I just enjoy memories and new friends, living and fantasy.  What’s life without imagination?  – boring.

Namaste,

Scott

carly books

I read lots of books, from mythology retellings to literary fiction and I love to reread books from childhood, this is a place to voice my thoughts for fun. I also like to ramble about things such as art or nature every now and again.
