A Night or 2 (or 7) with Netflix (or ?)

I love Netflix; it is simply the place I go when I want to relax and just let go. I have been watching more series than anything else this year of 2022, so this will have a few of those. There are also some upcoming new seasons of things I feel just have to be great. Here, in no particular order, are my top 20:

  1. Riverdale – Weird one to start our with, I’m sure, however, this show that I began 2-3 years ago just had season 5 come out and I thought “Okay, watched Season 1…” I am about 1/5 way into season 5 and flipping out. This is, certainly, not my comicsville Archie, Jughead, Betty, and Veronica! Strange more sensual, and a big punch or 3…not for kids, aimed at teenagers, but adults? Heck Yeah.
  2. The Originals – I skipped this one for quite awhile. I watched Legacies and loved it all the Seasons, then I watched The Vampire Diaries (8 Seasons), then found out they were a set and The Originals were the first. So backwards, but good. I think the Originals is 5 seasons and I am in the first, but knowing whats coming later makes it …um…interesting? Anway, this is really 2-4
  3. Legacies
  4. Vampire Diaries
  5. Follow This – a series of documentaries about a lot of very different things. It goes from a cult to the newest sex doll to well, you just watch it. Very intriguing and interesting.
  6. Making Fun – another series of documentaries, but this time about the same group. These are engineers who gather together to make entertainment toys and things asked/voted for by the kids. With kids directing you get such a thing as a dinosaur on a toilet who….let’s not spoil it.
  7. Yakamoz S-245 – An apocalyptic series (I know, from me?) anyway, the Yakamoz is a foreign sub that is underwater when the sun decides to, um, fry almost all the people. They are now trying to survive and the 4 people they rescue from another sub in the first episode makes it even better…story, well decent, but the intrigue and the places the plot(s) take us is really good. First season, there better be another.
  8. Stranger Things has another new season and I can’t wait for it to start. Nuff said!
  9. Bridgerton – I have to say that I only watched a couple of episodes last year, but a new season has started and I really want to start over and finish it this year.
  10. Daybreak, Z-Nation, and Blade (3 movies) have all remained on Netflix this year. If you haven’t, try one. First two are zombies and funny, mostly, Blade is vampires and not-so-funny…
  11. The Umbrella Academy is coming out with Season 3 and, again, I can’t wait. It is a series about 7? siblings with same adoptive father who are super (in their own ways) and are supposed to be a team that saves the world…funny, serious, weird…I can’t ask for more.
  12. Dark Matter has 3 seasons out and I long for a 4th. If you haven’t watched it, then it’s well-worth a try. 6-7 people wake up on a space ship and remember … nothing.
  13. Shadow and Bone 1 season, so far. It is memorable and takes place somewhere else. Witchcraft, magic, and intrigue – yes.?
  14. I started watching Grey’s Anatomy (lots of seasons) and finished Lucifer (7, I think). Anyway, I stopped watching GA for no good reason (lots of stuff on Netflix) and Lucifer was great. I think the names kinda say doctor/medical and well devil stuff (hilarious).
  15. Bullsh*t – Greatest gameshow I have ever watched. from 1k to 1M, contestants win by knowing or convincingly lying to 3 judges who are vying for their own chance to win by guessing right the most. Howie Mandel does a very good and funny job.
  16. The Adam Project is a very interesting and funny look at time travel. A man travels back in time and gets off track meeting himself as a child…
  17. Love, Death, and Robots is coming back for another season – short scifi stories – can’t wait.
  18. Jupiter’s Legacy – series about super heroes who are getting older and their kids who may or may not be ready to take over.
  19. 6 Underground – take 6 criminal specialists, kill them, then have them work for you as a team.
  20. There are a lot of shows in the lists on Netflix. I watched a lot of movies and would hate to have you miss one because I suggested one. Peruse and find that one special show just waiting for you.

It is so very wonderful to hear from you! I have missed all who used to comment on here. I have also slipped away from this blog to address other interests and concerns.
Anyway, my sister passed in January of 18 (I believe the year be right). Mom has had it hard, and I suffer some from remnants of the stroke. However, my faith, having changed and bettered – https://www.facebook.com/groups/LoAQPGod (link to join) has kept me on the upright. Diabetes still being worked on. Again, so glad to hear from you and I hope it’s not the last time.

I did figure you were busy with other endeavors!
I was aware of your sister’s passing. I hope you and your mom have found comfort in the memories of her.
I am so glad about your hanging on to faith. I am trying to recover my facebook, and if I do I will join.
I am glad you are okay and thank you for giving me some news.
        Blessings!

My spirituality has sparred me from many problems. I don’t stress or worry near as often nor as much as I used to. My stroke conditions seem to be improving slightly on most fronts. I have been educating myself in many different platforms through self-study.
I do hope you recover your Facebook as I would love to have you both join my group and get to speak to you some. I spend a lot of my time alone and in-game with friends. Mom and I do much and, yes, she is having trouble losing Sis, Dad, and her best friend has had a bad stroke and is about 3 hours away. I don’t drive much over an hour away, if that. My computer is my world vision.
          Take care,
          Scott

Very much welcome! I love doing these, but often forget to start one when I get enough good ones watched. We have been doing okay. I love life and enjoy being with her through it.

Those are ones I am aware of, but haven’t watched (at least, not yet). Glad you enjoy Netflix. Yes, a great way to entertain yourself wherever. Lately, I have been finishing up “Riverdale” (1 1/3 seasons left on Netflix) while in the car while Mom shops. I watch on my I-Phone using nearby WiFi.
