“A Mighty Roar”
By Scott L Vannatter – 100 Words
Katrina was bad. Japan has been hit by several hard ones. Typhoons and tidal waves have slammed into many of the coasts of tropical areas. Water hitting land with the force of sledge hammers and worse have occurred. But all were just a preparation for World Storm Wyondabeck.
This deadly storm struck during the US nighttime on October 29, 2023. The super cell came from almost nowhere and devastated the eastern third of the States. The coast itself was stripped clean for seventeen miles inland.
This is the ninth day of the storm. This is our last broadcast from Indianapolis.

Hi Scott,
There’s a chilling effect from your story, because I think it could be prophetic. I liked the way you anchored it in factual history and just extrapolated those real events into the future. Ron

This put me in mind of War of the Worlds. I suppose it was your send off that did it.

Didn’t think of that, but, yes, it was a bit like that.

Scott,
A very topical and blunt tale. It seems plenty of people around the world are enduring these weather horrors right now.
I enjoyed that.

Dear Scott,
Do you live near the ocean? Do you own a sledge hammer? Is your address almost somewhere?
I like that we have ten years to move to high ground.
