U R Looking, but R U Cing?

I am not trying to “cheat” on my blog by posting links and not writing.  It’s simply that something catches my eye, holds my attention, and I feel the need to share it.

And this is the best way to share (this and Facebook) that I know.

So, if you deciphered the title into “You are looking, but are you Seeing?”, then you should watch this.  If you couldn’t decipher it, then you Need to watch it. (about 13 min).

Namaste,

Scott

By Scott L Vannatter – 100 words

Here we go with Rochelle-driven Friday Fictioneers.  100 or less words for a full story based on the photo prompt.  Has really taught me how to watch words.  Other stories and your opportunity to add yours can be found here.

Ramon looked at the tube exhibit overhead with the wonder of a child. He saw aesthetics and questioned function.  Jack simply stepped under one and looked up, sneering a bit.

“Empty tubes.  So what?”

Ramon heard a conversation nearby and turned before answering.  He was thinking about the seclusive life of the artist. He heard a whoosh, then a sharp intake of breath. He turned around to look back at Jack.  At least, he looked where Jack had been.  Now, just his bowler was on the concrete.

Ramon moved and bent over to pick up the bowler.  He heard a whoosh…

Living off the Land and Creating Beauty with Powder!

This is a wonderful video < 15Min.  I found it posted by a friend on Facebook, but it also comes from a WordPress site entitled “Primitivetechnology” .  See what you think.  I was absolutely fascinated. If you can’t get the link below to work, the one above has the video partway down on the page.

Living off the land

This is about 5-6 minutes and is a beautiful art style from India!  Wow

Seize the Fish, or the Hamburger, or the Candles – Do Something!

I love TED Talks.  This one is about 10 minutes.  Well worth watching.  Too many lessons for me to do much summarizing.  Enjoy!

Land of the Free and the Internet

Bert has a great post —>Here<—

I have told him I would give him credit above and put the tremendous video he posted on here.  It is a fascinating one about our freedoms, government surveillance, Facebook, Google, and a lot of other items that deal with our liberties and who should have what on the Internet.

It is 29:50 long.  I know that’s long, but what I can tell you is that if you will watch it and not get hung up on understanding every single word, but in understanding the concepts in this question / answer session, oh my – as Seuss says, “Oh, The Places You Will Go”.

Try what I did: promise to watch 5 minutes of it – I ended up watching it all!

Enjoy this,

Namaste,

Scott
